Grades
How grades work
Every lead is graded on three things, so you know which calls to make first.
Newness
How recently the business formed and when it starts selling. Brand-new businesses rank above long-standing ones that just re-registered.
Location
A storefront ranks above a home-based business. Virtual offices and mail drops are flagged, so you don't drive to an empty suite.
Legitimacy
The kind of entity and whether it's active and in good standing.
- AStrong on all three: new, at a real location, active. Call these first.
- BStrong on most. Usually worth a call, for example a real new business that's home-based.
- CWorth a look, but something is uncertain, such as the location or how new it is.
- DProbably not a business you can reach yet, such as a virtual office. Kept in the file, flagged, so you can skip it.
